Shenandoah Valley Chess Club April 2014 Newsletter

Shenandoah Valley Chess Club is six months old! Thank You to everyone who supported us and helped spread the word! This has been a true community collaboration and we could not have succeeded without you.  


The Chess Club has officially partnered with Handley Regional Library ( and is affiliated with the United States Chess Federation (


In March we began one-on-one workshops and tutorials to teach chess terminology and tactical strategy. This will prepare for tournaments in June.

We have big hopes for the future of Chess in the area.
