Shenandoah Valley Chess Club
The Shenandoah Valley Chess Club is a not-for-profit community organization that began in September 2013 with four chessboards and three simple goals:
- To gather the entire community around the 64squares of the Chessboard.
- To promote the academic benefits of Chess through formal Chess education.
- To introduce "The Royal Game" to a new generation of chess players.
We are affiliated with the United States Chess Federation and working in partnership with Handley Regional Library.
Funds raised to support the Shenandoah Valley Chess Club are directly used to support and further the chess outreach effort.
SVCC is an open club that does not charge membership fees at this time.

We are just getting started!
Our growth thus far is thanks to word-of-mouth, community involvement and SVCC chess players generous donation of time, resources, and ideas.
With your support we can take it to the next level!
